Youth Activity for May
May 6 - 3pm - Youth Music Presentation A concert featuring the talented youth of our church and community combine to present musical offerings, including performances by the Hands of Praise Youth Sign Language Choir under the direction of our own Rosemary Glithero. Also joining the concert is our own Children's Choir under the direction of Robin Watson
The youth are responsible for the planning and implementation of two Worship Services: Easter Sunrise Service and Youth Sunday Service (September). In addition, the teens regularly participate in our worship services through attendance; and as Choir members, Bell Choir members, Hands of Praise Choir members, liturgist, and sound room technicians.
The Youth Sunday School class is held at 10:30 a.m. in the Youth Room. In this adult led class, teens discuss Christian beliefs, Bible scripture, and how they apply to real-life situations and issues.
Themed Youth Programs
The youth choose the real-life situations or issues they want to discuss on the 1st and 2nd Sundays of the month, 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. These adult led, "themed" programs include games, Bible Study, discussions, and a closing worship.
Monthly, we provide a fun, safe activity where our teens can fellowship with each other and other teens. These activities bowling, ice skating, roller skating, miniature golf, movies, water parks, the zoo, and more.
