Our Sunday Morning Services

Sunday Morning Worship is the primary focus of St. Matthew United Methodist Church.
  • 8:00 AM Acoustic Worship with Holy Communion in the Chapel
  • 9:00 AM Traditional Worship in the Sanctuary
  • 9:00 AM Contemporary Worship with Holy Communion in Fellowship Hall
  • 10:30 AM Blended Worship and Children's Church in the Sanctuary
  • 9:00 AM Children and Adult Sunday School
  • 10:30 AM Youth and Adult Sunday School

To meet as many needs a possible, we offer a variety of worship opportunities. All Sunday morning services have a Sign Language interpreter. FM assistive listening devices are available at all services in the Sanctuary. Large-print bulletins are also available at all services. For those who are unable to attend Sunday services, audio tapes of the Sanctuary services are available upon request.

Acoustic Worship 8:00 AM Chapel. A fresh and gentle approach to worship with Communion each Sunday.

Traditional Worship 9:00 AM Sanctuary. Liturgical worship in a classic United Methodist style. Holy Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month.

Cup of Blessing Contemporary Worship 9:00 AM Fellowship Hall. Informal worship and communion is offered in the Cup of Blessing service each Sunday in the Fellowship Hall. Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday.

Blended Worship and Children's Church 10:30 AM Sanctuary. A mix of musical styles in a joyful, kid-friendly atmosphere. Holy Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month.

Deaf Ministries Worship Service Seasonal Sanctuary. Deaf Ministries worship services are held seasonally. They are ecumenical and created to be accessible to deaf and hard-of-hearing people as well as hearing people. The service is conducted in sign language and voice, with words simultaneously typed and displayed on a screen.

Holy Communion. Holy Communion in the United Methodist Church is open to all people, regardless of age, church affiliation, or lifestyle. St. Matthew uses only unfermented grape juice for Communion.

Baptism. Baptism is normally offered on the second Sunday of each month, but it may be scheduled on other Sundays if requested. Baptism is not necessary for participation in any church activities; the act of baptism is merely a public affirmation of a person dedicating their life to Christ. St. Matthew baptizes infants, children, youth or adults.

New Member Orientation. Membership orientation sessions are held on the first and second Sundays of each month in the Pastor's office. A luncheon for new members is held on the second Sunday of each month following the 10:30 AM session. New members join on the third Sunday of the month. Those unable to attend a particular week may schedule a make-up time. We invite you to join the St. Matthew family!
